Complex Coronary Intervention
Bifurcation lesions, left main disease and chronic total occlusions, approached with the imaging and plaque-modification tools each case demands.
MD · DM Cardiology (AIIMS, New Delhi)
Consultant Interventional Cardiologist
Seventeen years at the forefront of coronary and structural heart intervention — and the first cardiologist in Rajkot to introduce IVUS, Rotablation and FFR to routine practice.
About
Dr. Kinjal Bhatt completed his MD in Internal Medicine from Shri M. P. Shah Medical College and his DM in Cardiology from AIIMS, New Delhi. He practises as a full-time Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Synergy Superspeciality Hospital, Rajkot, across OPD, emergency and indoor services.
Over seventeen years he has performed a large volume of angiographies and angioplasties, with particular depth in complex coronary work — bifurcation lesions, left main interventions and chronic total occlusions. He was the first in Rajkot to bring advanced intracoronary diagnostics into everyday use, and has first-hand experience with the newest generation of tools including intravascular lithotripsy.
Alongside interventional work, he is a specialist in non-invasive imaging — trans-esophageal, 3D and tissue Doppler echocardiography — and remains actively involved in academic teaching and clinical research.
Clinical Expertise
From routine diagnostics to the interventions few centres in the region offer.
Bifurcation lesions, left main disease and chronic total occlusions, approached with the imaging and plaque-modification tools each case demands.
IVUS, OCT and FFR — the first practice in Rajkot to make these a standard part of decision-making rather than an exception.
Rotablation and intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) for heavily calcified vessels that conventional balloons cannot prepare.
Permanent pacemakers (single and dual chamber), AICD and CRT-P/D implantation for rhythm and heart-failure management.
TAVI, balloon valvuloplasty and device closure of ASD, VSD, PDA and RSOV in both adult and paediatric patients.
4D trans-esophageal, stress, contrast and foetal echocardiography, with tissue Doppler and strain rate imaging.
Procedures
Academics & Research
Dr. Bhatt lectures at medical institutes across the region, presents at national and international conferences, and is associated with several ongoing medical research programmes.
Beyond Medicine
Dr. Bhatt is a marathon runner and long-distance cyclist. He has completed six full marathons and the complete BRM series — 200, 300, 400 and 600 km rides — within a single calendar year. It is the same discipline he asks of his patients: consistency over intensity, sustained across years.
